While Deployed in Afghanistan the company I served with was a Blackhawk Helicopter Medical Evacuation company or MEDEVAC. We could receive a MEDEVAC call any time day or night, and we would be off the ground within 15 minutes flying to our patient. On take off from the airfield our call sign was "DUSTOFF" this call sign was known through the entire theater and would serve as notice that all other aircraft were to give us the space we needed to go to our call. While I wasn't the busiest individual in Afghanistan, I certainly was honored to be part of this mission. So when naming my company, I decided to adopt the name "Dustoff" as it has been the greatest calling of my life thus far. The photo you see is my platoon in Afghanistan, minus 2 individuals who couldn't leave their post for our photo. Try and find me!
